About
Small-scale fisheries (SSF) in Mexico face challenges like overfishing and environmental degradation, impacting food security, poverty reduction, and employment. To address these, a project proposes creating a video game to simulate fishery resource management, climate change, and economic scenarios. This educational tool aims to help fishermen understand management processes and the importance of income diversification, enhancing community resilience. The game will integrate real data and models, guiding fishermen towards more informed decisions. Workshops with fishermen will inform the game's design and evaluate its impact, facilitating discussions on resource management and climate adaptation. The initiative seeks to improve fishery sustainability and community resilience, providing valuable insights for fishermen and policymakers.
