Subscription fatigue is a thing, and casual most games are hyper-monetized with ads, micro-payments, subscriptions and all kinds of dark patterns. My bet is that there is a market for transparent, honest, paid up-front, no-ads quality casual mobile games for Apple-devices. Instead of relying on aggressive subscriptions, recurring revenue comes from releasing multiple games targeting the same target-audience, and use cross-promotion to up-sell multiple titles. To make this efficient, I'm developing a "platform" as a foundation for casual games to build upon, to reduce development time and effort to develop and release more titles. The goal is to have two casual games released by the end of Backdrop v5. The games are targeting Apple-devices (iOS, iPad and macOS) using Swift, SwiftUI and SceneKit (3D rendering) with minimal backend in TypeScript, using Cloudflare (Workers, Queue, and D1),
